Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026. Operator: getDiscordBot, operated by an individual proprietor based in India (admin@getdiscordbot.com).

1. Information We Collect

When you use getDiscordBot we collect the following categories of data:

• Account data: Your name and email address when you sign up.
• Bot data: The Python code, requirements.txt, and any configuration you upload to run your bot. This includes your Discord bot token if you paste it directly into your code.
• Usage & log data: Runtime stdout/stderr logs generated by your bot process, crash reports, deploy records, and basic request metadata (IP address, country header from Cloudflare).
• Billing data: We receive payment identifiers and subscription status from Razorpay. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or UPI credentials on our servers.
• Technical data: Browser type, timezone, and session cookies used for authentication and security.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect solely to operate and improve the service:

• To host, run, restart, and manage your Discord bots.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, crash alerts, billing receipts).
• To process subscription payments and verify payment status via Razorpay.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• To improve platform stability, performance, and user experience.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to any third party.

3. Payment Processing

All card, UPI, and wallet payments are processed securely by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited, India). When you pay, you are interacting directly with Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. We receive only your subscription ID, payment ID, and payment status — not your raw card or banking credentials. Razorpay's own Privacy Policy governs data handled by them.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service:

• Razorpay — for payment processing and subscription management.
• Cloudflare — for DDoS protection, DNS, and CDN (IP and request metadata are processed by Cloudflare).
• Hosting infrastructure — the VPS and Docker environment that runs your bots.
• Email provider — for transactional emails (crash alerts, account emails).

We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or a valid government request under applicable Indian law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specific retention periods:

• Bot runtime logs: 7 days on Starter; 14 days on Pro. Automatically deleted thereafter.
• Freemium trial: After the trial ends, bots are paused. If you do not subscribe within 14 days, bot code and data may be permanently deleted.
• Account data: Retained until you delete your account. After deletion, data is removed within 30 days except where required for legal or tax compliance.
• Billing records: Transaction records are retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian accounting laws.

6. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal data.
• Erase your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Withdraw consent and stop processing (where consent is the lawful basis).
• Nominate a person to exercise your data rights in the event of death or incapacity.

7. Security

Each bot runs in an isolated Docker container on a private network with no inbound public ports. Bot containers are sandboxed with capability restrictions, read-only root filesystems, and strict resource limits. Runtime logs are sanitised to remove infrastructure-internal paths, IPs, and image names before being displayed in the dashboard. We use HTTPS (TLS via Traefik) for all data in transit.

8. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics SDKs that send your data to external services.

9. Children's Privacy

getDiscordBot is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email.
